They talk about the Ozploitation sub-genre of movies, the use of the Australian outback as a wasteland, and the elements of psychedelia and ethereal nightmare logic in visuals and storytelling. They also get into the backdrop of animal rights activism, man vs nature, the junk punk aesthetic of the Baker brother characters, and many other aspects of the film.
